O Canada sheet music c1939. The National Anthem of Canada was written by Calixa Lavalée in 1880. The original French lyrics were written by poet (and judge) Sir Adolphe-Basile Routhier. An English translation was written in 1906 and in 1908 Robert Stanley Weir wrote another loose translation which is the official version.
